A Montgomery County Motorcycle Attorney Gives Back

Montgomery-motorcycle-attorneyJust a couple of weeks ago, I put together a list of Pennsylvania charity rallies and rides that were coming up in the spring and summer. The first two rides are just around the corner and I wanted to give you all a bit more information about these great events so you could check them out if you are interested.

As a Montgomery County motorcycle attorney and an avid rider, I am a lover of Pennsylvania’s beautiful countryside, and of the feeling of freedom that comes from hitting the road. I am also committed to helping others whenever I can. These April events offer two of the first chances this year to get that great wind-in-your-face exhilaration.

They are also great opportunities to give something back to those in need, or to support the police officers who put their lives on the line everyday keeping citizens safe all around the Commonwealth, and right here in Montgomery County.

Motorcycle attorney’s April charity rallies and rides

Ladies of Harley (LOH) Easter Basket Ride – April 12th, Harrisburg PA: This annual ride leaves at 1pm from Susquehenna Harley-Davidson and ends at the Harrisburg YWCA. LOH is requesting donations of women’s or children’s clothing, twin-size sheets and blankets, umbrellas, pots and pans, filled Easter baskets, candy, games, toys and puzzles, coloring books and crayons. As you can see, this event focuses on reaching out to women and children in need. Ladies of Harley was formed to support female Harley riders, and to help them become more active in the local chapters of their Harley Owners Groups. In addition to the Easter Basket ride, LOH participates in a number of other charitable activities. There is plenty more information on the ride at the link, including contact information for the sponsors and a link to the full list of requested items.

10th Annual Pennsylvania State Police Soldiers of the Motorcycle Ride – April 26th, Hershey PA: The Soldiers of the Motorcycle ride honors fallen members of the Philadelphia State Police, and proceeds benefit the Historical Educational and Memorial Center of the Pennsylvania State Police. This is a 90-mile ride, and registration includes a light breakfast beforehand and a hot meal at the end of the ride. Activities include a guided tour of the Police Academy, gun raffles, retail sales of police collectibles and self-guided tours of the Police Museum.

Both of these events are beautiful and easy rides through the country from my home base in suburban Philadelphia’s Montgomery County.

A motorcycle lawyer has a responsibility in my opinion to play an active role in his community. I’m proud to support these causes because they offer a rare opportunity to have fun and build a strong family of riders. But more importantly, because they offer an opportunity to make a real difference in the world.
