Bucks County Motorcycle Accident Lawsuit
Motorcycle accident cases can get very complicated and riders who attempt to take on the insurance company lawyers often run into more than they care to deal with.
Read on to hear about just one aspect of a client claim, a deposition, which shows the level of intensity the insurance lawyer may get into to defend a claim – which should show you how important it is to hire an attorney to handle your motorcycle accident claim.
Unfortunately defense attorneys may decide to use depositions to harass and/or run up billable hours that they can then turn into the insurance company for payment.
In one case I argued in Bucks County the deposition went two hours, ran 125 pages and concerned the accident case where my client was rear-ended at a stop. The defendant had already admitted that he struck the rear of my client’s motorcycle and that my client did nothing to contribute to the cause of this motorcycle accident.
However, the defense firm likes to run up billable hours, they asked many questions that appeared to have no relevance, to which I continuously objected.
When defense counsel took my client’s deposition they asked questions such as:
- where he was coming from, which was church, and then they wanted to know more about his religion.
- They asked how much horsepower his motorcycle had.
- they asked about prior motorcycle accidents and injuries – although my client stated under oath that he was not injured in any prior motorcycle accidents and was not claiming any exacerbation or aggravation of prior injuries.
- They wanted to know about an eye doctor that he went to see even though he clearly testified under oath that we were not making any claims for eye injuries.
- The attorney also asked questions about prior chiropractic treatment which I objected to; however, I only objected to the time frame and limited my clients answer to the last ten years.
- Further, he asked my client whether or not he uses Facebook, my client responded “rarely” and then I objected to any further information because he had not provided me with any information at all that my client had used Facebook to publish pictures of himself doing anything that had any relation to this accident.
This case went on to become one of the longest running cases in my office. My client was very grateful to have representation to curtail his stress throughout this experience.

“My husband, Russell, chose Mr. Gaber to represent him in connection with his Bucks County motorcycle accident. Once we got to know Mr. Gaber, we came to realize that not only is Mr. Gaber thorough, and articulate, but he also refers back to all of the information contained in his file regarding the specific facts of the case including including every piece of medical documentation, when necessary in order to help him win the claim. He combined the facts and his professional experience and thoroughly explained all options available to us and together as a team we weighed all of our options before deciding on the motorcycle lawsuit strategy that was best for us. He is an aggressive, confident Motorcycle Accident Attorney in our opinion and no doubt a force to be reckoned with, who deserves and we suspect has earned the respect of well seasoned peers in his field.
Ultimately we were successful in our litigation and received almost 350% more than we were offered by the insurance company representing the other party, who pulled out from a stop sign in front of my husband. We would recommend him to anyone seeking a highly experienced personal injury attorney to help them with their motorcycle accident.”
